National Night Out is an annual community-building initiative that occurs on the first Tuesday in August. Communities across the country host National Night Out events to build positive relationships between the community and law enforcement. Rusk County's NNO involves representatives from law enforcement, EMS, the fire department, and the DNR.

This event is free and open to the whole community. There is a free meal, activities, giveaways, vehicle tours, demonstrations, music, and more.

This event is made possible because of many volunteers and community donations. RCYC was awarded a Give365Rusk grant for this event.
